The professional Association with the name “HOTEL ASSOCIATION OF DRAMA” and headquartered in Drama, was founded in the year 1954, which was recognized and approved by a decision of the Multi-Member Court of First Instance of Drama.

The purpose of the union
In a sense, the purpose of the association is to safeguard, study and promote the economic, social and professional interests of its members as well as the wider area of Drama in the context of serving society and tourism development. Our continuous effort is to create and develop professional and tourist awareness, as well as trade union education among the members of the Drama Hotel Association. The concern for the improvement, protection and promotion of the well-meaning professional interests of the members and by extension the Hotel Industry in Drama.
Also essential is the care for the study and appropriate regulation of the issues that arise from time to time and concern the Hotel Industry and in particular the hotels-members of the Union, combined with the gathering and codification of regulations concerning the proper operation and exploitation of the hotels as well as the timely relevant information and guidance of the members of the Union with speeches, circulars, etc.
The aim is the mutual support of the members and the avoidance of unfair competition between the members of the Union, the treatment of guest accommodation with respect for the tourist, the continuous training of the members and the staff of the hotels and the participation in European programs, in order to achieve the best possible guest hospitality. The promotion of small infrastructure projects of alternative tourist services is also carried out.
Continuous actions are the advertising promotion of all the touristic interests of the city and the region, in order to make it recognizable to the international tourist public. For this reason, the Union cooperates with other interested natural and legal persons, in international hotel and tourism content exhibitions and with the publication, especially in a foreign language, of a relevant special advertising form or material in digital format (CD or DVD, etc.), distributed free of charge to the public visiting tourist exhibitions.
In order to fulfill all of the above, the Union addresses public authorities, the Local Government, internal and external cooperative organizations and the representatives of various social groups for any issue that concerns its members. It conducts all legal forms of mobilization and activities, to claim and solve the problems affecting the sector and to protect the professional, economic and social interests of the members of the Union. Represents the members of the Union in Councils, State Commissions, Organizations and the Local Government, on issues that directly or indirectly concern the sector. Cooperates with corresponding or related international Organizations. It cooperates with trade union and other bodies, in common goals of development and promotion of the collective interests of the members. Participates in non-profit companies. It conducts studies, organizes conferences, seminars, educational programs, etc., on matters of wider hotel and tourism interest. It deals with or collaborates with university institutions or agencies for the purpose of promoting, highlighting or recording the tourist product, as well as studies for the benefit of its members.
