The most famous and impressive waterfalls of the prefecture of Drama are located in the Municipality of Paranesti and are formed in the dense forests:
The Waterfall of Agia Varvara is located near the Dipotama Settlement and in the valley of Arkudoremos. It is over 15m high. and its waters form a small lake, while the wider area has been designed as a recreation area by the Forest Service.

After a route of about 15 km, after the bed of the Arkudoremos, you will find the largest waterfall in the Balkans – the most impressive waterfall in the area at a height of 40m, the Trachoni – Dipotamon waterfall.

Two kilometers before the Megalo Livadi, next to the spruce stands, in Skoteinos Rema, the Skoteinos waterfall cuts vertically through a high rock.

North of Dipotama towards the Lepida Forest, after about 7 km, we come across the Lepida Waterfall with a height of 35m.

North of the virgin forest of Fraktos, in Ahladorema, an impressive water formation with three continuous flowing waterfalls is formed. The first waterfall is 7m high, the second is 13m and the third is 70m. There are two other waterfalls of 40 and 80 meters high, which are difficult to approach.
